Handmade Velvet Venetian Slipper-Blue

The Venetian or Furlane Slipper was born in the post-war era, favoured by Gondoliers as their soft soles did not scratch the wood on the bottom of their boats and were comfortable enough to wear standing up all day. Each slipper is hand-stitched together using a waxed thread in the traditional fashion. To avoid the use of glue, the rubber sole is also hand stitched for durability, breathability, and comfort. We love the chic simplicity of these beautiful slippers, encapsulating a European conception of comfortable dressing for the Australian summer.
